What we believe
God
Is Triune, Father, Son, Holy Spirit; 3 persons, One divine Essence.
He is the only true God: MT 28:19; 1 Cor 8:4
Jesus
Is true God, equal to the Father and Holy Ghost, the only Savior
of mankind; Jn 5:23; Jn 14:6; Acts 4:12
Sin
All humankind is born in sin; by nature all people are spiritually blind, dead, and an enemy of God, condemned to eternal damnation outside of Christ: Gen 8:21; Ps 51:5, ROM 3:23
Justification
The world has been reconciled to God through the death and resurrection of God the Son, Jesus, and all sins have been forgiven through Him. God no longer holds our sins against us but declares us righteous and invites us to live in communion with Him. 2 Cor 5:19; ROM 4:25; 1 Jn 2:1-2.
Conversion
Faith in the Savior is entirely the work of the Holy Spirit through the Word of God, which transforms hearts and minds. His grace is given through the sacrament of Holy Baptism: 1 Pt 1:23; Jn 3:56; 1 Cor 12:3
Holy Baptism
Creates faith as an unmerited free gift, washes away sins; saves as a gracious work of the Holy Spirit; Jn 3:5-6; Acts 22:16; 1 Pt 3:21
Lord's Supper
Holy communion, is Christ's True Body and Blood, really present in the bread and wine for forgiveness of Sins. MT 26:26-28; 1 Cor 11:23-29; 1 Cor 10:16. We gather to receive Jesus often at the communion rail because we daily sin much and are in constant need of His forgiveness to live the Christian life of faith, hope, and charity. Jn 6:53-59; 15:5
Scripture
Is inspired by God, without error: Jn 10:35; 2 Tim 3:16
Creation
Happened according to Genesis 1-2. Evolution is both unscriptural and unscientific. Gen 1:1; Heb 11:3; Ps 33:6
2nd Coming
The second coming of Jesus will be sudden/unexpected. 2 Pt 3:10; Mk 13:32; MT 24. We are living in the New Testament era where we rule with Jesus in the activity of sharing His love and mission. 1 Cor 15: 23-26; Eph 21:7; MT 28:19-20; Rev 20: 4-6.
