Operation Quiet Comfort
Everyone has a drawer or box of old blue jeans. Did you know we can make a denim quilt out of them? The idea of quilting with recycled Jeans is an excellent way to use up these sturdy, leftover garments. Shelly is helping out with the “Operation Quiet Comfort”, which collects used blue jeans and other fabric, to assembles quilts, and coordinates block signing with words of thanks, encouragement, hope for the future, and prayers for healing of our wounded troops from Iraq. Each quilt is comprised of 96 signed squares, 1 square representing each of the four freedoms, and 1 square containing the U.S. Flag.

Domestic Violence Center
We are asking for your old cell phones to be brought into church. We will donate these old unwanted cell phones to the Domestic Violence Center here in Santa Clarita. They are able to recycle these phones and their chargers in exchange for money, that will go toward the operation of the Center. Please give them to Lisa Ridenour or Cindy Briseno on Sunday. Prince of Peace wants to get involved in our community and this is one way we all can help. Perhaps you can pass this information along to your

Canned Food Drive
for canned goods and non-perishables for families in our congregation or in our community. Deborah & David Stanley are coordinating this charitable service. Please bring your donations to Church There will be a box in the back for collection.

Save a Life
Please help save a life, by donating your tabs from the top of your favorite soda cans. These small tabs will give someone who needs time on a Dialysis Machine and help save their life from failing kidneys. Many of you have already donated bags of these tabs, and I would like to thank you, and hope to get more from you and many more people. Remember to be careful in removing these tabs, for they can have shape edges and the ability to cut you.
